Hello. I’m Andrew McAllister.

I enjoy helping artists and designers educate the next generation of creatives as a way to better understand creativity and technology.
I’ve worked as a designer, practiced as an artist, and gigged as a musician. All of my work, whether it be personal or professional has taught me multiple perspectives on the creative process.
I hope I can help you with your creative journey.
Every person I’ve worked with, or have helped, I’ve learned something about the creative process, the medium, creative people, and the limitations of technology that is meant to serve those people.
I’m active on Twitter, Behance, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for work and personally.
I’m currently the Director, Academic Computing & Innovation at OCAD University, Adobe Education Leader, a visual artist and maker of rock noise. I current manage the creative computing environment at OCAD U enabling faculty, student and staff creativity with technology. I’ve been supporting faculty and students since 2003, and I still have more to learn.
I’ve created video, audio, interactive and photographic works, some of which have been funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council and shown at the International Biennale of Contemporary Art (Prague), the CONTACT Festival of Photography (Toronto) and the imagineNATIVE media arts + film festival (Toronto).
As a maker of rock noise, I’ve participated in the Toronto music scene since the 1990s, including the Wavelength Music series, occasionally playing shows and festivals, and helping others with their projects. I’m currently playing in Away Forward.
